The After-School programs provide highly qualified instructors to the schools of Westchester and Fairfield Counties to teach after-school enrichment classes. Classes include sports and games, tennis, soccer, basketball, flag football, hockey, golf, music, art, digital photography, chess, cheerleading, Karate, and more.

Most programs are offered as a service to the PTA of each school who act as the sponsor of the enrichment classes.  A volunteer, who views Future Stars as a valuable source of qualified instructors and coaches, oversees the program.  Future Stars operates tennis programs through local recreation departments and parks for adults and juniors as well. We run tennis camps in the spring and summer season for children and adults in Darien, and Greenwich, CT, as well as in Hastings and Lewisboro, NY.

Frequently asked questions

How long is each class? Each class is normally one hour in length once a week after school. Future Stars classes run all year long and each class is generally between 6-12 weeks in length.

What is the minimum and maximum enrollment for each program? There really is no set number. This depends on what type of space is available. Our minimum enrollment for each program is normally about 6 kids, and our maximum is around 30, barring there is enough space.

How many programs can your school sign up for? Depending on how much space is available, you can sign up for as many as you would like. If you want a program and have the room, Future Stars can run the class.

What sort of programs do you run? We currently offer over 25 different classes in sports and the arts.

Does Future Stars separate the children by grade level/ability? Yes. Future Stars generally coordinates with the PTA chair on what grades or age groups will participate in a particular class.

Do your conduct background checks on your instructors? Yes. Each Instructor participates in a background check conducted by Future Stars. In addition, if the PTA requires, Future Stars instructors will participate in more extensive background checks such as fingerprinting.

Our school is already running after school programs, can we still run a Future Stars program? Yes, as long as there is a gym, classroom or outdoor space available, we can run our programs.
