The
Tennis Program is
individually designed to me thodically challenge players of all levels
and ages, 6 - 15.
Throughout the week, campers will
be encouraged to enhance their strokes and strategies via group lessons,
skill building drills, organized play, individual attention, video sessions,
target training, fitness routines and more. All campers are carefully
grouped by the tennis director based on skill level and age. Each camper
will be thoroughly evaluated during the week and a detailed progress report
will be sent home at week's end.
Beginners
and Advanced Beginners
-
The
emphasis will be on fundamental stroke production and consistency. Campers
will learn the correct mechanics of each stroke, proper court position and
movement, and sound strategies for future growth and development. All
of the basic techniques will be constantly
reinforced through fun games,
singles and doubles play, coordination exercises, and team competitions.
Intermediate
and Advanced Players
-
Routines are specifically designed to improve and strengthen strokes to
produce more reliable and effective results. Repetitions are practiced to
build total self confidence and muscle memory. Physical and mental
toughness will be combined with advanced strategies for singles and
doubles point play and match play.
High School and
Tournament Players
will work on physical conditioning,
mental toughness and match play. They will be encouraged to play in USTA
tournaments also. An emphasis will be placed on stroke production, power,
intensity, focus, and match play skills. We prepare players to move up to
the next level on a team or in the rankings.
